Exam Pattern
EFOG-EBCOG is a two-level examination and comprises Part 1, which is a written examination, and Part 2, which is an OSCE.
EFOG-EBCOG Part 1
The EFOG-EBCOG Part 1 written test consists of two papers. This computer-based test includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Single Best Answer questions (SBA), and Extended Matching Questions (EMQ). The first paper focuses mostly on Obstetrics, while the second paper is on Gynecology. To pass the Part 1 examination, candidates must pass both papers.
EFOG-EBCOG Part 2
The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) known as EBCOG Part 2 is intended to analyse applicants’ clinical proficiency. This examination analyses aspirants’ clinical skills, including the patient’s history, technical proficiency, communication, teamwork, knowledge integration, clinical problem resolution, and more. Here the clinical skills of the aspirants are thoroughly analysed by examiners.
After clearing both Paper 1 and Paper 2, you will become EBCOG fellows who have been trained and supervised in accordance with European standards.
