MRCOG Part 1 Exam 2024

The exam covers the basic and applied sciences relevant to the clinical practice of O&G. This section is designed to test how well candidates understand basic principles in obstetrics and gynecology. It covers a lot of topics that include anatomy, physiology, and clinical assessment. 

Exam Format 2024

The MRCOG Part 1 consists of a computer-based test (CBT) examination. The Computer-based test (CBT) has two papers, each consisting of 100 single-best-answer questions (SBAs). Each paper counts for the same amount of marks (i.e. Paper 1 counts for 50% of the overall mark, and Paper 2 also counts for 50% of the overall mark). There is no minimum score required for each paper, and the outcome is determined only by a candidate’s overall mark. Candidates must pass the MRCOG Part 1 before taking the MRCOG Part 2.

Duration: 2.5 hours (150 minutes)
